Socialist Utopias

Fausta's Blog has a great new look, very easy on the eyes. Reading her latest posts on Cuba and Venezuela reminds us of a question we’ve been meaning to ask the champions of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez. Why are the Spanish speaking peoples of Mexico, Central and South American immigrating, legally and illegally, to the United States rather than to these two worker’s paradises?

Speaking of socialist utopias, why are young people leaving Vermont? Ankle Biting Pundits writes that it’s because there's no jobs and they can't afford to live there. Professor Bainbridge explains Vermont's problems illustrate the social cost of high taxes, extensive regulation, and low growth policies. DynamoBuzz sees parallels to New Jersey.

People like Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro and Kim Jong Il are exactly why Border Security and legislation like the Patriot Act are so important in this modern day and age of terrorism.

While terrorism is primarily and overwhelmingly a result of islamofacism, tyrants like these would love nothing more than catch this country off guard like we were caught off guard on 9/11. The FBI and CIA really need to watch this growing axis of evil like a hawk.

As far as socialist utopias go, where else but in Vermont can you rape a six year old girl for four years and only get a sixty day sentence? Where else but San Francisco can you declare on national television that the greatest country in the world shouldn't have a military and be a successful politician. Louisiana before Katrina hit should've been the prime example of a liberal socialist utopia. Widespread unemployment, welfare, abject poverty all a result of corrupt, liberal, socialist politicians.

Socialism breaks down and destroys everything it touches and it has been like a cancer eating away at New Jersey for a long time now. I really fear that if the people of New Jersey haven't figured that out by now they never going to. I hope that's not the case.

The reason people in Central America and Mexico leave their countries to come to the US are twofold:

1. They mistakenly believe that the streets of Yankeeland are paved with adoquines de oro.
2. American style capitalism has only brought poverty and exploitation to their native lands.

Do you see people from Socialist-ruled Chile making a mad exit for the US?

It's elementary my dear Watson!

As usual, you fail to debate the two points I made, probably because you lack the intelligence necessary to do it.

The gullible in Central America, and Mexico will continue foolishly to chase after the non-existing "american dream."
