Do we have the separation of powers in New Jersey or not? How can the star chamber in Trenton order the state legislature to do what it wants??
Why do we even bother to have elections any more in New Jersey? We voters -- particularly, we conservative voters -- have absolutely no voice in what passes for "the law" in this state.
you are witnessing probably the biggest threat to democracy - the imperial judiciary. the truth is that our elected officials have allowed this to happen in order to defer any anger or blame. I support the right for gay couples to marry but it is something that should be put on the books by the legislature. what is the senate or assembly do nothing?

The Senate and Assembly exist only to collect taxes and implement the whims of our unelected Supreme Court.
