In New Jersey, Blog Carnival Is WWWeird
Earlier this year the anonymous proprietors of Enlighten-New Jersey, whose bloggers seem to believe Senator Jon S. Corzine is the antichrist, decided to start a New Jersey carnival to provide exposure for New Jersey bloggers and foster community in the New Jersey blogosphere. Here all along we thought the New York Times' editors, columnists and reporters believed President Bush was the bad guy. While the Times has been bashing Bush, we have been busy posting all the information we could find in the Times and other mainstream media about Senator Corzine. We are pleased our efforts have been recognized in the American paper of record.
We suppose when you see all the facts about Jon Corzine assembled together in one place, it does paint a rather negative picture of the senator. We reported and based upon the facts, the Times’ reporter has concluded Corzine is the antichrist. Seems a bit strong, but hey it’s the New York Times, a paper with conclusions and opinions that always seem over the top to us.
Just for the record, Applebome never asked us for our opinion of Senator Corzine. Unfit for Governor of New Jersey would have been our reply.
Update: It’s called sarcasm Mr. Shabe. We’ll be posting more about the Times article later, we think it makes a good case study.

Congrats on the mention!
nice write up -- glad to be a part of the weekly mention (if not in the NY Times *sniffle*)
The antichrist? That would be Hillary Clinton.
Imbeciles. The New York Times said YOU seem to think Corzine is the antichrist.
Then you say "We reported and based upon the facts, the Times’ reporter has concluded Corzine is the antichrist."
You should be killed.
Anonymous,
We've never suggested any such thing about Mr. Corzine or anyone else. It was the Times that used the term after reading the facts we've posted. Comments like yours do no favor to Senator Corzine, if in fact you are a supporter.
While I disagree with Anonymous' rather rude presenation of the facts (I'll at least wait for a Connie to start calling me names before I start tossing them back), he is correct.

So the Times isn't saying Corzine is the antichrist at all.
So what is the Times saying? We've never referred to Corzine as an "antichrist" or anything more negative than self-centered and clueless.
Applebome arrived at his own opinion based upon the facts presented. It seems as though Applebome believes if the facts posted on our blog are true one would think Corzine is the antichrist. Our facts are correct. But, we don't think or believe the Senator is the antichrist. - the Times reporter has decided a person posting and reading the facts presented would reach that conclusion. Why? Ask him.
We posted what we believe - Corzine is unfit to be Governor of New Jersey. It was Applebome’s logic, not ours that lead him to write what he did. Now why do you suppose he wrote it?
I suppose Applebombe wrote that because you write all the time - *all the time* about how you don't like Corzine. It's like the guy slept with your wife before you met her you write about him so much.
OK, that probably wasn't fair, but you write about Corzine a lot.
The carnival being mentioned in the NYT *is* cool, though.
I found a lot of worthwhile info here!
