wins a Pulitzer for its coverage on Gay-American McGreevy. Never did understand why the former Governor found it necessary to label himself a hyphenated American.
"It's great to win, obviously," said John Hassell, who wrote the lead story along with Trenton staffer Jeff Whelan. "It's even better to win for this story, because no paper in the country devotes more resources to covering state government than The Star-Ledger."
When Hassell says no paper devotes more resources to covering state government, does he mean no paper devotes more resources to covering New Jersey or to each paper’s respective home state? “Cause California papers spill quite a bit of ink on their state government, as does Florida and… You get the picture.
