It All Depends On The Definition Of Corruption

Welcome Carnival Readers! (Via INCITE) Come up front and check out our latest posts.

The Atlantic Highland Muse wonders about political corruption and if New Jersey really is more corrupt than other states. Well, here’s an interesting take on the corruption issue in the Garden state:
"New Jersey voters are utilitarian," David Rebovich, managing director of the Rider Institute of New Jersey Politics. "They understand that there is a quid pro quo system, and they have a looser definition of what constitutes corruption than in the moralist states."
Who is David Rebovich? According to a Rider University website – David Rebovich is a well-known commentator on New Jersey political issues and currently ranks 18th among the top 100 most influential people in state politics, according to a PoliticsNJ.com ranking.

Looser definition? Moralist states? Unbelievable. No additional comment is necessary.

Loosely translated, Rebovich is saying "New Jersey voters are sheep."

From a news story:

"Norcross was a key force behind Corzine's efforts to crush the gubernatorial hopes of acting Gov. Richard Codey earlier this year. The wealthy senator also has helped empower the party boss over the years, contributing $837,000 to Norcross' political action committee."

"After reading excerpts of the tapes, Corzine said Norcross "exaggerated" his claims about their relationship."

"He said he was put off by the political tactics described by Norcross."

"'I don't approve of insider deals and pressure politics. I believe we ought to do things on their merits. That's the way I intend to be as governor and that's the way I've been as senator,'" Corzine said."

Am I missing something here??????????????????????? The man does have balls.

In a high soprano voice evoking memories of pre-pubescence youth seeking favor from their peers, Herb Conaway, griping himself in a Michael Jackson pose, raises his other hand in an attempt to sponser an amendment to the mental health bill that would prohibit castration by non-medical personnel.
