I'm sorry, but in a tight election, we need as many votes as possible. McCain would deliver the most moderate votes. He takes some strange positions, but has an American Conservative Union rating of 83%.
After kicking so many tires that my feet are sore, I've got to admit that I'm growing to like Mitt. Thought about Rudy--but his FLA strategy is about to blow up. McCain won't be supported by other conservatives, Huckabee is out of money and steam, and short of Jeb Bush throwing his hat into the ring, who's left?
I'm with Mitt and will be voting on Tuesday. I disliked McCain after McCain-Feingold but detested him after the Immigration Reform Act. Working on the ground in santuary cities such as Dover and Paterson you learn how many illegals are benefiting from free social services on the backs of taxpayers. Many are here for the freebies and have no problem telling you that. Check out Mc Cain and Juan Hernandez then check out George Soros donation to Mc Cain's Reform Institute and think again about his conservatism. Living in the Peoples' Republic of New Jersey I don't want another Democrat trying to control my life and Mc Cain is more of a Democrat than a Republican. And no, I am not conservative.
McCain would not just write a free ticket to illegal immigrants but instead make them pay back their taxes and a fine. I think this is reasonable and we honestly need these workers to stay in America but be tax paying citizens. McCain's plan would do that.

Agree 100%
I'm headed in that direction, although it's sort of like buying a Camry when you had your sights set on a Lexus.
This is certainly an election where the choice is about the lesser of many evils....and Romney or possibly Giuliani appear to be that.

We disagree.
