Simple Soution To New Jersey's Budget Crisis
A state appellate panel on Sunday ordered horse tracks closed at the end of business Tuesday, and the head of the Casino Control Commission ordered gaming in Atlantic City to cease at 8 a.m. Wednesday.
There is a simple solution to the budget crisis, pass last year's budget. Pennsylvania, with a population of 12.5 million, has figured out how to get by on state budget of $26 billion this coming year. New Jersey, with a population of 8.5 million should be able to get by on $28.265 billion.

While I understand the sentiment and it would be a lot better than what is proposed, I have to say that last year's budget was too high as well.
Is state government really shut down if everything is open and the workers will be paid even if the agencies were closed?
