Do you know that Governor Jon Corzine’s budget plan not only calls for a $1,400 tax on hospital beds, but it also calls for a $2 month tax on prescription drugs?
From a May 31 editorial in The Record: “Similarly, a plan to institute a $2 a month tax on prescription drugs seems to target the ill and elderly and would generate only $20 million. Is this really how the state wants to raise its money?”
We would assume the Record knows the difference between a tax and a co-pay, but then again it is the Bergen Record.
