Corzine: Everywhere But New Jersey
Why is Jon Corzine running for Governor of New Jersey?
Corzine has never held a job in New Jersey.
Corzine does not own a home or any other real estate in New Jersey.
Corzine does not own a business in New Jersey, with all three Corzine firms located outside the Garden State.
Jon Corzine has shown little interest in working, creating jobs or investing in New Jersey, the state he “represents” in the U.S. Senate and now seeks to lead as Governor.
Jon Corzine has chosen to invest, prosper and grow everywhere but New Jersey. Corzine’s only investments in our state have been in political campaigns to further his personal agenda.

Doesn't the guy own a condo in Hoboken?
No, Corzine rents an apartment in Hoboken.
But he did own a home in Summit for many years, right?
And he is the U.S. Senator from New Jersey. That's a job.
And even before he was Senator and worked in New York, he did pay New Jersey taxes.
Are you saying that even though someone lives in New Jersey, even though they work in another state, they don't have the right to run for office?
We are saying the Senator has shown little interest in New Jersey beyond his own political ambitions. He has chosen to invest elsewhere, which to us doesn’t show much commitment to the state he hopes to lead.
In terms of the home he used to own in New Jersey, the reason he no longer owns the home merely highlights another instance of his lack of commitment.
I heard that he actually was driven through Newark one time a few years back.
